A Love That Feels Like Home

John and Molly’s story began four years ago at the University of Miami, where their paths crossed as students. For Molly, meeting John felt like coming home—a connection that made every moment of waiting for the right person worth it. “It wasn’t just in the big gestures, but in the little thingshow he always knew how to calm my nerves with a simple touch or how his presence made even the most ordinary moments feel extraordinary,” Molly shares. With him, Molly felt deeply understood, protected, and cherished in a way she hadn’t known before—a sense of belonging she didn’t realise was missing until he filled it.

The proposal took place in December 2023, at Matheson Hammock Park in Miami, Florida. After enjoying lunch together, John and Molly took a walk by the water. She had no idea he was carrying a ring—or that a photographer was discreetly waiting nearby, ready to capture the moment. “In typical John fashion, he walked right past the bench without realising it was the photographer he’d hired,” Molly says. By the time he had realised he’d walked too far, John panicked, dropping to one knee mid-path. The photographer ran to catch the proposal, snapping a few quick shots of the spontaneous, slightly chaotic moment. “It wasn’t what wed planned, but honestly, it made the moment even more memorable and more us,” Molly reflects.

An Intimate Desert Wedding in Arizona

John and Molly celebrated an intimate wedding in the breathtaking desert landscape of Sedona, Arizona, surrounded by 14 of their closest friends and family. The day began with a hike to the secluded Secret Slickrock, where they exchanged vows amidst the red rock scenery. In honour of John’s Native American heritage, the couple was married by a Native American chief, a special moment that held great cultural significance. Following the ceremony, guests gathered at Elysian Retreat for a beautifully curated dinner by season 8 MasterChef winner, Chef Dino Luciano. It was a night filled with laughter, music, and conversations beneath the stars—a celebration not only of their marriage but of family, tradition, and the love that carried them there.

The most memorable part of the day for the newlyweds was gathering around one long, candlelit table with the people they love most—a rare and precious reunion of family and friends from Michigan, Colorado, and Miami.Being away from our loved ones is always tough, so having the chance to spend such a special evening with them meant the world to us. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family and how lucky we are to have such supportive people in our lives, no matter the distance,” Molly says.

Dressed in Deia

Molly fell in love with the simple, elegant design of the Deia gown. “It was timeless, effortlessly elegant, classic, and perfectly matched the vibe of our wedding location,” Molly says. The day before her appointment, Molly had tried on a dress she thought might be ‘The One,’ but something held her back. Trusting her mum’s instinct, they waited for their Grace Loves Lace appointment.

The next day, Molly visited our Miami bridal boutique with her mum and best friend and experienced the moment she’d always dreamed of. She felt confident, comfortable, and radiant as soon as she tried on the Deia gown. “When I finally tried on the dress, I had never felt so beautiful. It was everything I had imagined and more.” Welcomed by her stylist, the bride couldn’t be more grateful for her support. “My stylist Jasmine also played a huge role in helping me find the perfect gown, and Im so grateful for her guidance in making this choice,” she says.
